About Samantha
Samantha is a certified family nurse practitioner at The Vein Institute. She received her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Oak Brook, Illinois, in 2018. She has extensive nursing experience throughout her career in private practice, school, surgical and hospital settings.
Besides her practical nursing experience, Samantha pursues an active role in accreditation programs and education. She is passionate about her role as an educator and is responsible for designing and implementing physician yearly training programs, mock code education for staff and patient education. She has also been active in community service with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In her spare time, Samantha is an avid runner.
Dr. Tonnessen is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI), Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM) and the founder of The Vein Institute of Hunterdon. He has received a Masters of Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University. He enjoys cooking, skiing, reading and gardening as well as all things related to wine!
